Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of MUltiple SIgnal Classification algorithm for two dimensional direction of arrival estimation is simulated considering the mutual coupling effects between the antenna array elements. It is observed that mutual coupling will degrade the performance of the system. A new method for compensating the effect of mutual coupling for 2-D MUSIC algorithm is also presented. This method can considerably reduce the effect of mutual coupling on the MUSIC Algorithm.
