Abstract :
The authors present an intelligent assistant for maintenance and operation of emergency power systems in hospitals and medical facilities. This assistant is an expert system and consists of three parts. The first part provides theoretical information about the equipment. The second part provides a maintenance program that is in accordance with international standards and practices. The third part contains a procedure to mitigate power failure. Each of these parts is analyzed following a global description of the program
