Abstract :
AC dielectric properties of 2D composite structures obtained from numerical simulations are presented. We specially emphasise the accuracy and applicability of different computational tools and methods for modelling of polarisation phenomena in binary mixtures. It is observed that even for the simplest case of a two-layer dielectric mixture, the calculated frequency dependencies of the real and imaginary parts of the average complex permittivity can deviate from the analytical solution. Considering several periodic structures indicate that AC properties are different, dependent on the tool or method used. Therefore, we want to draw attention to the validity of results
