Abstract
Aim at energy consumption characteristic of hierarchical structure in wireless sensor networks, this paper presents an uneven clustering topology control strategy. The kernel is control communication radius and competition radius of cluster head based on the minimum hop. Finally, it constructs uneven topology according to the distance away from Sink node. The cluster heads which close to the Sink node can reserve more energy for data forwarding. The algorithm doesn´t rely on global information, each node execute algorithm distributed. Simulation demonstrate the algorithm balance energy consumption effectively, achieved good control in topology. Significantly prolong the survival time of WSN.
