Abstract :
Mainframe applications increased rapidly in China and worldwide, several universities and training institutions have already or are about to set up courses related to the basic and application of mainframe. In this paper, the demand and application background for mainframe are analyzed in detail firstly. Secondly, teaching on foundation courses of mainframe is studied and discussed based on teaching practices of Southeast University. Finally, theory and practice of education and learning experience in such courses are summarized.
