Abstract :
Cloud computing is a new technology build up on existing concepts with improved resource response time, costs, storage capabilities, scalability and flexibility. Adopting cloud computing technology in healthcare, especially in radiology, demonstrates high performance in terms of quality of service but also raise concerns related to security and performance. The aim of this research is to provide a security solution for a complex healthcare cloud platform that supports clinical and administrative processes responsible for maintaining health records, resource management, data transfer, storage and archiving. This paper presents an analysis in terms of security issues and possible countermeasures based on the existing healthcare requirements and standards available in studies and technical reports. Proposed security solution for the healthcare hybrid cloud platform is discussed from radiology data perspective in terms of data access, data storage and data exchange.
