Abstract :
Considering the difficulties of great weight, complex structure and small mounting clearance occurred during large aero-engine installation, a numerical control (NC) installation method is proposed after analyzing the existing problems and shortages happened in the current manual installation procedure. In addition, a multi-axial position adjustment platform is designed and the accessibility of the mechanism is analyzed as well. It lays a foundation for the development of a new NC installation system for large aero-engines.
