  • Abstract
In this paper, the effect of ground moving target in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images based on MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) configuration are investigated, and the delay-and-sum (DAS) approach is used for velocity estimation. Our paper has three main contributions. First, we present a detailed signal model of moving target based on MIMO SAR system with colocated antennas, and the properties of ground moving target in the scene are analyzed. Secondly, we provide an efficient algorithm to combine the multiple virtual channel data to enhance the image quantity. Finally, we extend the DAS approach to estimate the velocity of moving targets in the scene. Several simulated experiments are executed to illustrate the derivation and analysis at the end of the paper.
