Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed a microprocessor based fuzzy logic controller. In order to show the powerful of the controller, we use such a fuzzy controller to manipulate a complex plant - "rotary inverted pendulum". Then the pendulum could swing up from the pending position to the upright position and then balanced at the set-point. The experiment results show that the proposed chip based fuzzy logic controller can control the existing system very well.
