Abstract
The results of some of our initial research on a dual polarised single layer PSS have been presented. The reflectivity response of the PSS has been synthesised using measured data obtained from a loose-lay PSS configured to represent the two impedance states of the active FSS. The results show that the screen is polarisation insensitive, and indicate that an active PSS based on this design would also show dynamic null tuning characteristics. Work is being carried on the design dual polarised PSS with increased bandwidth and also on oblique incidence performance.
