Abstract
In this paper, the performance of two target scattering center models, namely, the geometrical theory of diffraction(GTD) and the complex exponential(CE) models, is studied. Based on state space approach(SSA), matrix decomposition technology and least square method are applied herein to obtain model parameters. Target scattering field calculated by moment-method is used to facilitate this study. Numerical results show that GTD model only adapts to scattering modeling in high frequency region, while, CE model is applicable to accurately model target scattering for cases of both inside and outside high frequency region.
