Abstract
The growing demand of automotive project variants, driven by the Original Equipment Manufacturers´ (OEMs) platform development, raises the importance of the multi project handling in a unitary manner. Multi-project architecture needs to solve critical issues like: variants management, reusability, resource management, concurrent access of items. Implementation also needs to handle rapid prototyping, fast development, adaptability, requirement compliance in the given multi-project environment. The current paper offers an overview of the approach used by Continental Automotive Romania Iasi for the multi-project development of electronic power steering. The proposed solution implies the use of IBM Rational Rhapsody for the definition, partitioning and variant generation of the system in connection with Matlab/TargetLink implementation for modeling, simulation and autocoding.
