  • Abstract
This paper proposes a hybrid phased-array multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR)-based ground moving target imaging approach. The proposed ground moving target imaging approach divides the whole array into two subarrays (each subarray coherently transmits a distinct waveform which is orthogonal to the waveforms transmitted by other subarrays) and combines the displaced phase centre antenna (DPCA) and along-track interferometry (ATI) processing techniques. The signal processing, motion parameters estimation and moving targets focusing algorithms are detailed. Both analytical and simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
