Abstract :
Hundreds of optic units are used in large high-power laser facility. The misalignment problem of those optic units has a very negative impact on performance of carrying high-power laser. In this paper, using the example of reflecting mirror, we have carried out a fundamental analysis on the misalignment of optical unit in assembly, transfer and deployment. It is found out that there is an obviously existing conflict to meet the both requirements of stable fixturing and precise alignment, if considering the mirror´s stiffness. Some improvement suggestions are given finally, and further work is undertaking to develop an optimized assembly design of optical unit.
