Abstract :
As regards outdoor termination, the design and the construction of the stress relief is important for reliable service since it enables one to relief the electric field concentration at the removal part of the outer sheath of high voltage power cables. One technique is to use condenser cones in the form of cylindrical condensers using aluminum foils. In this paper, the design conception for this technique is described in detail with results necessary for the development of the first prototype of the condenser cone type outdoor termination which has been recently put into a real service system
