Abstract :
This paper describes a set of metrics developed to evaluate the performance of prognostics algorithms in the context of prognostics and health management (PHM). Such metrics were developed with focus on the assessment of the accomplishment of user requirements. The usefulness of this set of metrics for prognostics algorithm design, verification and cost-benefit analysis is presented and the concepts are illustrated with a sample application.
