Abstract :
In this paper, the effect of particle distribution on the electrical conductivity of epoxy - boron nitride nanocomposites is investigated. Nanocomposites were produced with three different techniques and the particle distribution and dispersion in the samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The analysis showed that in all samples the particles are effectively dispersed but they are differently distributed. Conduction current measurements were performed to evaluate the electrical conductivity of the nanocomposites. The results suggest that the electrical conductivity of nanocomposites greatly depends on the particle distribution. A better particle distribution leads to lower conductivity´ values.
