  • Abstract
    The paper deals with multifactor surface aging of post insulators made of different types of resins, hardeners and fillers, which are stressed longtime simultaneously by high electrical a.c. field strength and condensation. Test setups, realized with a multitude of arrangement of simplified inverse climatic chambers, and relevant diagnostic tools used to evaluate the insulation behaviour are presented. Finally, selected test results obtained after 5000 h aging are discussed
