Abstract
The advent of e-services has created some urgency in tackling the issues in trust. Therefore, in this paper, we take advantages of automated trust negotiation (ATN), which is a promising approach to establishing trust in open systems by iteratively requesting and disclosing digitally signed credentials, to establish trust between entities in e-services. A framework incorporating ATN into e-services is developed, in which trust negotiations can be accelerated whenever possible. This framework presents several features, such as the support for predicting credential disclosure sequences, and the use of authentication ticket to reduce the number of credential validations.
