Abstract :
In light of the analysis on different colorization techniques, a local motion based video colorization method integrating color transfer and color blending is put forward to restraint errors occurred in inter-frame color transfer. On this basis, an interactive processing framework for video colorization is proposed. Key frames are colorized by color blending method, the rest frames get colors from the colorized results of their previous, where two color transfer methods for neighboring frames via global motion estimation and local precise motion estimation are combined. This colorization framework has been tested with real grayscale videos and the results demonstrate its validity.
