Abstract
Scattered EM fields versus frequency in the proximity of surrounding cylindrical structures are studied by analyzing and measuring the magnetic field amplitude near a conducting and a simulated human body (SHB) dielectric cylinder. Using classical cylindrical wave functions, the magnetic field amplitude near each cylinder is calculated over a frequency range of 200 MHz to 1 GHz. In this paper, we are concerned with only magnetic field effects. Computed results when compared with measurement results of the magnetic field show a good agreement. Further study indicates that variations in the magnetic field amplitude occur with cylinder rotation and measurement distance from the cylinder
