Abstract :
In the authors´ creative teaching and learning practice for the students majoring in electric power engineering, the whole teaching procedure includes four steps, that is, lectures, self-learning for knowledge expanding, creative exploration and evaluation for the students´ achievement. The feature and implementation of each step and the tasks for both teachers and students in the individual step are introduced in this paper. The conditions to implement the novel and creative teaching and learning in electric power engineering education are discussed. The methods and effect for the creative teaching and learning of synchronous machines are demonstrated at the end of the paper
