  • Abstract
An accurate and efficient method for analyzing axially cascaded dielectric resonators is developed by combining the mode-matching method with the generalized scattering matrix technique. Compared with traditional mode-matching analysis of dielectric resonators, the present method can handle an arbitrary number of cascaded dielectric resonators, while the size of the eigenvalue matrix remains the smallest. The method is consequently highly flexible and computationally efficient compared with traditional approaches. The resonant frequencies, Q-values, and coupling coefficients of a single and two coupled dielectric resonators are computed, and they agree well with our measured results
