Abstract :
This project falls under the key theme of global perspectives for our engineering students and faculty. It expands the activities of an on-going student exchange program and promotes a wider participation for students and faculty. The overall goal is to develop the students´ abilities to confidently operate in a global environment. The student exchange program allows participating students to spend one semester at the host institution, attend classes, earn credits and transfer them to the home institution. The aluminum-based design and mini Baja project allows the formation of a multicultural team to work on a major meaningful project. A&T students and faculty assist their UST counterparts to develop an aluminum-based vehicle as a way of transferring knowledge of aluminum design and automobile technology to Ghana
