Abstract :
This paper presents two new methods for designing finite impulse response (FIR) fractional delay filters (FD). These methods, firstly, sample from basic delay system Z-D - when D is not integer - in the frequency domain, and then find a polynomial in integer power of Z using least square fittings approximation and Fourier series expansion. Examples are given to illustrate the accuracy of the techniques.
