  • Abstract
This paper describes an analysis of skin-electrode impedance balance for power-line interference elimination from ECG signal. This work is based on previous authors and conducted in three steps: the first step consists of analysis of impedance balancing system; the second one is to examine the measurement system of power-line interference elimination using a physical model; and finally, we use the previous condition for checking of power-line interference elimination validity in real ECG signal recording. Results show that skin-electrode impedance balance can be achieved by using an impedance controller so that interference can be limited to a very low value. In other words, to reduce skin-electrode unbalance so that skin abrasion is unnecessary. Thus, this work is improvement on the methods of previous authors and it is very important for safety in measurement system of biopotential signals
