  • Abstract
The paper discusses the remarkable fact that relaxation processes in very different systems follow fractional power laws in the time domain and, where appropriate in the case of linear response systems, the equivalent Fourier transforms in the frequency domain. These “fractal time” relaxation processes indicate the presence of some very general mechanism and suggestions are made as to the probable nature of these processes
