  • Abstract
According to high-speed railway´s fixed geometric appearance and spatial relationships, we proposed a modeling method for virtual high-speed railway based on basic-element combination in this paper. This method abstracts and simplifies the complicated high-speed railway models and transforms them into reusable basic-element models, and then the high-speed railway scene can be constructed by combining these basic-element models. Some key technologies such as modeling flowchart, modeling method of the basic-element model, and calculation methods of the models´ spatial position and attitude were discussed in detail. Finally a case study area was selected for carrying out a test. The result shows that this modeling method can quickly construct a virtual high-speed railway scene, and improve modeling efficiency and models´ reuse rate.
