Abstract :
It does not appear that a model has been published that is able to accurately reproduce the diagrams observed for voltages ranging from 50Hz steady-state to fast transient surges. This paper presents a computer simulation of corona on circular cylindrical geometry, which corresponds to a macroscopic approach to the physical phenomena involved, and is able to reproduce the experimental results obtained for the wide bandwith corresponding to the normal and abnormal operation of AC transmission lines
