Abstract :
Aim of this paper is to contribute to the development of control strategies in the time-frequency domain for power electronics applications. Although the wavelet transform has already proven itself to be a suitable tool for the analysis of transients and disturbances in several engineering problems, there are but few implementation of control algorithms in the wavelet transformed domain. In this paper, the authors investigate the wavelet algebra for power circuit applications, by extending the analysis of circuit elements in the wavelet domain, previously carried out trough piecewise-linear bases, to the family of Daubechies wavelets. By using the convolution and integration matrices in the time-frequency domain, and by leveraging the sparsity properties of such matrices, a real power-electronic example is solved.
