The status of private economy in Henan province is of increasing importance. Consequently, the industry participants, management decision-makers and theorists begin to focus on how to build a index system of private enterprises´competitiveness and how to effectively promote the competitiveness of private economy from the perspective of enterprise growth. This paper aims to build an evaluation system about the comprehensive competetiveness of private economy in Henan based on the IMD system (Institute for International Development in Lausanne, Switzerland) and WEF system (World Economic Forum). This paper also presents feasible measures from the perspectives of financing and legal system, industry evolution, technology and science, capital structure and environmental uncertainty, aiming to increase the competitiveness of the private economy and to accelerate the growth of private economy.
