Abstract :
Circuit simulation of gas metal arc welding (GMAW) system was developed. Using a circuit equation and mass and energy balance equations for wire length and droplet length, the system is represented in state space. This makes the model inclusive and effective. The model predicts the time-variable properties of GMAW systems and the results have been compared with experiment, showing good agreement.
