Abstract :
This paper reveals the relationship between some well-known matrix converter modulation strategies, basic/optimum Alesina-Venturini (AV) methods and direct/indirect space vector modulation (SVM). The direct/indirect SVM methods are inherently the same. Two SVM methods are also proposed, which are equivalent to the basic/optimum AV methods respectively.
