Abstract :
This paper presents simulations of signal distortion of pulse wave propagating on a bent transmission line using a broadband model. This broadband model is developed based on a one-dimensional transmission line matrix (1D TLM) algorithm linked with frequency domain traveling wave modes (TWM) method. The frequency domain parameters derived from the TWM method with frequency-dependent radiation behavior are transformed into time domain via a Pade approximation. The results from this model are compared to those obtained by a 3D TLM full-field solver. The methodology used in this paper allows us to study broadband performance of signals propagating on bent lines without complex full wave algorithms.
