A novel algorithm for moving object detection in embedded remote video monitoring system

A remote video monitoring system is built based on embedded web server by using moving target monitoring. In the system a novel algorithm based on symmetric difference and background difference is proposed. The system will alert when it detect and recognize the illegal invasion in the scope of monitor. Thus the intelligent monitoring system is achieved. Experiment results show that the new algorithm provides much more detailed information compared with the existing methods.
