Abstract :
The efficient and safe control of electric power forms part of the key technologies of modern automated production. The proposed complete system approach implicitly takes into account a very detailed converter circuit representation with discrete electronic devices and an extensive 3D squirrel cage induction motor modeling by finite elements. The performed time domain analysis allows for a novel and deeper insight into the complete behavior of the electromechanical drive system.
