Abstract
Using linear induction machines in hybrid electric vehicles has some advantages such as robustness, reliability over convectional generators that is used in this system. This paper suggests a three phase self excited linear induction generator (SELIG) for a system of free-piston generator. Linear induction machine has some configurations. A flat ladder type linear induction is used as generator in simulations. Design of the machine is carried and finite element method is used to simulate the performance of generator.
