Abstract
Hard magnetic bremsstrahlung radiation of relativistic electrons is suggested to be used to generate pulsed neutron fluxes by photonuclear reactions. The spectral and integral characteristics of the corresponding source have been determined by multigroup calculations for several targets as applied to present-day electron accelerators with an energy of more than 7 GeV. It is shown that the beam parameters of the accelerators allows one to generate the pulsed neutron fluxes of unprecedented space, time and spectral densities
