Summary form only given. Lasers are being used to an increasing degree in the manufacture of tools, products, and systems in the automotive industry. Significant advances in the use of lasers for the manufacture of injection molding dies and tools represent a unique opportunity for lasers to demonstrate reduced costs, investment requirements, and time to market. This presentation covers the state-of-the-art applications of lasers in the field of laser material processing and tool and die manufacturing for automotive and general industries.
