Abstract :
The dynamic simulation of a 45krpm, 1kW, single-phase brushless dc motor, when it is supplied from a full-bridge inverter and a half-bridge inverter, is described. The electromagnetic performance is modelled, with due account of the stator iron loss, rotor eddy current loss and the friction loss, and simulated results are validated experimentally.
