Abstract :
In this paper feasibility of modelling approach based on a bilinear system approximation is demonstrated on one of the most frequently met processes in chemical engineering, namely a continuous stirred tank reactor. Selected examples of such systems from the literature are considered and modelled with a use of dynamic bilinear systems. Advantages of this approach are presented and discussed.
