  • Abstract
To ensure the best use of thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) it is highly required to realize and analyze its performance characteristics in different modes of operation in power system. This paper presents an analytical dynamic model for TCSC to demonstrate how it consistently behaves in the large power system networks and efficiently stabilizes its oscillations in the case of a disturbance. The model is tested by different algorithms and outcome results prove the benefits of its application
