Time is a new element in business competition. Saving of time can bring up higher efficiency and resource conservation, which strengthen enterprises´ competence. In essence, a time-based analysis of chain operator´s advantages is to analyze effects of chain operator on the time value optimization for both enterprises and customers. This article uses the concepts of network chain, time cost, linking time and time value of information to illustrate that chain operator can not only promote enterprises´ value by reducing the linking time and optimizing time value of information, but also save customers´ time.
