Abstract :
Finite Element Method (FEM) design yields results exhibiting a high level of accuracy, yet remains a time-consuming procedure. In this paper, an analytical model for the interior permanent-magnet synchronous machine´s (IPMSM) design state is presented. A methodological design, composed of four principal steps, will also be shown. A comparison with FEM allows validating the proposed methodology, which enables quickly determining several machines capable of satisfying a given set of specifications.
