Abstract
In this paper, a new fabrication method of barium-calcium aluminate impregnated cathodes is reported. Barium-calcium aluminates were fabricated by one-pot hydrothermal reaction. The sintering temperature of the material is lower than the conventional method about 100 °C and the impregnation temperature is decreased about 50 °C. The pulsed emission current density of this cathode could reach 12.64A/cm2 at 110 °Cb which was equal with the conventional impregnated Ba-W cathode.
