Abstract :
An improved scheme for direct torque control of asynchronous wind power generator is presented in this paper. It is not only simple but also can match for the performance of conventional hysteresis comparator. In the paper, a torque fuzzy PI controller and a linkage PI controller are used to replace the conventional hysteresis comparator. Simulation results show that the improved method of direct torque control based on space vector pulse width modulation proposed in the paper improves the performance significantly for reducing the torque ripple and the generator start current, as well as enhancing the performance of the whole wind turbine generator control system.
