Abstract
A planar tapered-slot-fed antenna is studied in this paper. The antenna is printed on a dielectric substrate and fed by a microstrip line to slotline transition. The performance of antenna is investigated in both frequency and time domain. It has been demonstrated numerically and experimentally that this directional type of antenna is suitable for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications.
