Abstract :
Electronic markets represent one of the most important challenges in the emerging information society. Their broad scope covers all forms of business relationships between trading and manufacturing enterprises, information providers, service companies, consumers and public administrators, but today´s electronic markets on the Internet provide substantial advantages only for a single person in a “shopping from the list” scenario, which is mainly characterized by little interaction between humans. Therefore, we propose a group interaction system called GIA (Group InterAction), which turns the World Wide Web-based electronic marketplace into a social meeting place, too
