Abstract :
Networked control system is a popular research issue and has been applied in many applications for decades, for example, sensor network, remote control system, industrial control system, etc. Since network bandwidth is limited, numerous data is transmitted over network that could result in heavy network loading and further cause delay and packet drop-out phenomenon. In order to effectively transmit data over a bandwidth-limited, it is essential to perform data reduction. Therefore, it is important to analyze meaningful message/information in the data for removing redundant data and transmit them reliably over bandwidth-limited network. In the paper, we design a sensing controller to acquire useful and important data and enhance its visibility based on the dynamic behavior of target. For reliable transmission, communication module is designed based on current available bandwidth and system dynamic. The communication module performs data reduction by sampling and quantizing in temporal and spatial domain, respectively. Moreover, communication module has been examined based on the video transmission scenario.
