Abstract
The target discovery rate of AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) system is one of the most important attributes of operational effectiveness. Evaluating the attribute requires a big sample size. It not only takes a long time, but also costs much. In order to solve these problems, the statistical test method for the target discovery rate of AUV system is adopted, based on the operational principle of AUV system and the mathematical model of projection and guidance. The target discovery rate is calculated based on test data and simulation test. The method makes full of test data during simulation, thus can effectively measure the target discovery rate at a small sample size.
